Jennifer Garner’s romance with John Miller is going strong after a brief break.The pair began dating in 2018, the same year Garner finalized her divorce from ex-husband Ben Affleck. Us broke the news that Garner had been seeing Miller for six months. “Jen brings out the best in John, and he is the happiest he has probably ever been. It’s a loving, healthy relationship,” a source told Us at the time.

Us exclusively confirmed that Miller and Campbell’s divorce was finalized.

“John and Jen are in similar places in their lives, and can relate to raising kids after a divorce,” a source told Us in August 2019, noting their children come first. “They’re on the same page and understand where things stand.”

Multiple sources reported that Miller and Garner had fallen in love. “They are stronger than ever,” a source told Us in December 2018. “They are very much in love. … Jen admires John because he is just normal.”

A second insider added, “[Jennifer] loves that he’s not in the entertainment industry and is just a simple guy.”

“Jen has been thankful for John’s stable love and support during issues she has faced with [ex-husband Ben Affleck’s] sobriety. He isn’t jealous and understands Jen’s commitment to helping Ben,” an insider told Us.

A second source told Us that Miller is a good influence on Affleck. “Jen having a boyfriend has been the best thing to happen to Ben and Jen in a long time,” the source said in August 2019. “Ben has no problem with John. [John’s daughters have had] playdates with Jen and Ben’s kids. Ben totally trusts him.”

Victor Garber and Garner costarred as the father-daughter duo Sydney and Jack Bristow on Alias from 2001 to 2006. “I think he’s adorable,” Garber, who officiated her wedding to Affleck in Turks and Caicos, exclusively told Us. “What’s wonderful is they’re taking their time and they are just enjoying each other’s company. Her priority is her children, that’s it. She’s focused on that. She’s remarkable.”

He added that the pair were a perfect match that September. “Jen is great. I talked to her for an hour today. She’s doing really well. She’s really happy,” he told Us at the time.

“John is the complete opposite of Ben,” a source told Us in August 2019. “Jen feels like she’s finally found a true partner.”

According to another insider, Miller was a “rock” for Garner after Affleck’s October 2019 relapse. “They are very happy, and going strong,” the insider said, noting the actress “knows she can rely on” Miller. “John has been a rock for Jennifer, especially during Ben’s recent relapse.”

While their kids have met one another, according to sources, they are still taking things slow. “Jen seems extremely content and blissfully happy,” a source shared with Us. “John very much wants to marry” her, but “he knows she can’t be rushed.”

Us confirmed that Garner and Miller called it quits on their two-year romance. “He was ready for marriage and she just couldn’t commit,” a source told Us. “They parted on very amicable terms.” The news came after Garner was spotted enjoying a day at the beach with her former Alias costar Bradley Cooper.

Less than one year after the duo went their separate ways, Us exclusively confirmed that they were giving their relationship another shot.

After their spring reunion, the pair are heading into fall "really going strong and getting more serious," an insider exclusively told Us.

Garner's three children are going to see a lot more of Miller's two daughters, whom he shares with ex-wife Campbell. "They are spending a lot more time together," the source revealed. "They have been keeping their kids separate from their relationship for a long time, but now plan to incorporate their kids more."

An insider told Us that friends of the couple think an engagement could be coming in the near future. "Jen and John are serious," the source said. "They are totally set on a long-term future together. They’ve taken their time to get this committed."

Miller's life outside of Hollywood has also been a major bonus for Garner, the insider added. "It’s hard to remember Jen being this happy, and she definitely feels safe and secure with John, who’s unlike anyone else she’s ever dated," the source explained. "He’s hugely successful in his own right, of course, and she loves his mature and measured take on life. Being with someone as down-to-earth and calm as John is exactly what Jen needed in a partner.”

Garner celebrated her 50th birthday with a food drive alongside Miller as well as all of their kids, who met for the first time. "Lots of kids and family were invited, including John’s kids, his parents, his brother and his [brother's] wife," an insider told Us of the event. "It was casual and easy."

Garner and her beau have been "spending more time" with each other's kids, a source exclusively told Us, adding that their respective families were "getting quite close" with one another. Miller and the actress still prefer keeping their relationship "very private," the insider noted. "They meet at each other's houses — even for a quick glass of wine or for a low-key dinner date night away from prying eyes."

“Jennifer adores John and still sees a long-term future with him,” a source exclusively told Us, adding, “She’s just decided after a lot of thought that she’s just not in a hurry to rush down the aisle just yet and that she feels perfectly happy cherishing and enjoying what they have — for now — without a formal label.”

Us exclusively revealed that Miller was in attendance at the premiere of Garner’s AppleTV + show, The Last Thing He Told Me.

“Jen and John are in a great place,” a source exclusively told Us after the pair celebrated Thanksgiving together. “They used to go out of their way to keep a low profile, but they’ve both become very secure with their relationship and how it’s all worked out.”

A second insider noted that the duo have “a really special relationship” and that Garner “really enjoys” dating a non-celebrity following her public romance with Affleck. “For all his success in business, John is very down-to-earth,” the first source added. “Part of John’s appeal to Jen is how humble he is — this is a guy who wouldn’t know how to sound egotistical even if he tried.”

The first source went on to reveal that Miller has been “happy to go with the flow and do things Jen’s way from day one,” and often surprises her with romantic trips and date nights. “John is a romantic who’s big on making sweet gestures and spoiling Jen when she least expects it,” the source continued.

According to the first source, Garner and Miller’s inner circles suspect the pair will eventually walk down the aisle. “Jen and John want to take their time to plan out the specifics as far as the type of ceremony they want, where to live and whether or not they’ll need a prenup,” the insider told Us. “All that will come, but on their own timetable.”

That same month, another source told Us that Affleck and Miller “have a mutual respect for each other and are always very friendly with one another.”

Miller and his daughter, Violet, attended the premiere of Garner’s film Family Switch, though they didn’t join her on the red carpet. “Jennifer came over to John after her speech before the film started and planted a kiss on him in the middle of the theater in front of the audience,” an insider exclusively told Us of the event.

Calling the kiss a “big step” in their romance, the source added, “She’s definitely getting more comfortable going public as a couple, showing more affection and showing off their romance.”

A separate source also confirmed to Us that Garner helped Miller’s daughter secure a cameo in the film. “Jennifer thought it was a great idea. Violet even auditioned,” they explained. “John is definitely encouraging his daughter to go into acting because Jennifer loves it so much. Her artistic influence is really strong.”

Garner and Miller were spotted enjoying a stroll together in L.A. In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Miller wrapped his arm around Garner’s waist as she appeared to lean in for a hug.

Shortly after the rare public outing, a source shut down rumors that Miller was jealous of Garner spending time with Affleck following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. “Everything is fine with John and Jen,” an insider told Us. “Those close to them haven’t heard of any issues.”

A different source shared similar comments the following month, stating, “[John] doesn't get jealous and understands Jennifer prioritizing her kids. [John] sleeps over at her home often. The way he talks about her is the same. There are no whispers of a status change in their relationship.”

During another rare outing together, Garner and Miller were photographed packing on PDA while taking a walk over the easter holiday, per photos obtained by multiple outlets. In one sweet snap, Garner stood on her tiptoes to give her boyfriend a kiss.
